About this file
This is a Request for Quote (RFQ) for the procurement of 200 reel plates (Part Number 200622844) under solicitation FA481926Q0004. The solicitation was issued on February 13, 2026, with an offer due date of March 6, 2026, at 1:00 PM Central Time. The requirement is for commercial products to be delivered within 180 calendar days from the date of award to AFCEC East Operations at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, under a Firm Fixed Price arrangement. The contracting activity is the Air Force, Materiel Command, with contracting officer Tyler Smith (tyler.smith.113@us.af.mil, 850-283-8690) serving as the primary point of contact. This is an unrestricted acquisition with NAICS code 336413 and a small business size standard of 1,250 employees.
The evaluation will be conducted using Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) under FAR Parts 12 and 13, with award based on best value considering price and technical capability. Offerors must submit two separate volumes: Volume 1 addressing pricing for CLIN 0001 (including all transportation and delivery charges in unit pricing), and Volume 2 (not exceeding seven pages) addressing technical approach and First Article Test (FAT) process. Technical acceptability requires either documented evidence of FAT approval for reel plates with delivery of approved production units within three years of solicitation issuance, or a detailed schedule for meeting delivery requirements following FAT milestones (CAD drawing submission, first article submission, deficiency resolution, and production completion). The solicitation incorporates numerous FAR and DFARS clauses, including requirements for item unique identification (CLIN 0001 1710-00-438-9231), critical safety items surveillance, and electronic payment submission through Wide Area Workflow (WAWF). All questions must be submitted by February 17, 2026, at 1:00 PM CST, with answers to be posted on SAM.gov.
