1.0 GENERAL

United States Coast Guard Station St. Clair Shores is planning to enter into negotiations with a contractor. The USCG is seeking a qualified contractor to investigate water intrusion, and in your professional opinion halt the water from seeping into building. Prior to submitting a quote, it is mandatory to examine the SOW and it is highly recommended to visit the facility to take field evaluations of the station building, and become familiar with existing conditions under which the work will be performed. After the award of contract, a pre-conference will be held prior to starting the work at Coast Guard Station St. Clair Shores.

1.1 BACKGROUND

Current windows are original to the facility. CG did not take over this building until the 1990’s, due to their age they are increasing the energy costs to properly heat or cool this facility and is allowing substantial water into living quarters. However, due to funds restraint, stopping the water is of the highest priority.
