About this file
This document is a Solicitation issued by the California Department of State Hospitals (DSH) for the procurement of bulk juices. The Department is requesting quotes from interested vendors for the supply of cranberry, pineapple, and vegetable/tomato juices in 46oz containers, 12 per case. The juices must be 100% fruit juice with no added sugar or sweeteners, and have a minimum six-month shelf life. The contract period is January 1, 2025 through June 30, 2025, with the potential for a 15% increase or decrease in quantities during this time. Bids are due by November 18, 2024, and the award decision will be made on November 19, 2024. No shipping fees will be associated with this quote.
The solicitation outlines specific requirements, including the provision of nutritional and ingredient information, shelf-stable packaging without metal cans, and pallet configuration restrictions. Bidders must also complete and submit several required forms, such as the Darfur Contracting Act Certification, Payee Data Record, and DVBE Declarations. The State reserves the right to award to the bidder who meets recycled product content requirements, even if their total cost is up to 10% higher than non-recycled products.
