About this file
This document is a Justification for Single Source Award for the Indian Health Service (IHS), Phoenix Area Office. The sole source contract is for Omnicell automated Medication Dispensing Cabinets to be procured from Trillamed LLC, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), for the Fort Yuma Service Unit in Winterhaven, CA. The estimated contract value is $107,424.73, and the procurement is justified by the need to standardize pharmacy equipment across multiple IHS service units, with Omnicell being the preferred manufacturer to improve workflow and patient safety.
The procurement follows FAR 13.5 simplified procedures for commercial items, with statutory authority under the Veterans Benefits Act of 2003. Market research was conducted through sources sought notices on GSA eBuy and SAM.GOV, which yielded responses from Omnicell Inc. and Trillamed LLC. The contract will be awarded directly to Trillamed LLC as a sole source SDVOSB award, with the government reserving the right to solicit additional competition in future acquisitions. The justification emphasizes standardization of medical equipment and potential cost savings through consolidated purchasing.
