About this file

This document is a Sole Source Letter from Stratasys dated 14 March 2025, detailing the company's 3D printing technologies and patent portfolio. Stratasys owns over 1,700 granted and pending patents globally, utilizing four key additive manufacturing technologies: FDM®, PolyJet™, SAF™, and P3™ Programmable PhotoPolymerization. The technologies enable production of prototypes, tools, and manufactured goods directly from 3D CAD files, with capabilities including high-resolution printing, multi-material processing, production-grade material performance, and compatibility with office environments.

The letter emphasizes that Stratasys is the exclusive source for design and technology of its branded equipment, including Fortus, F series, Dimension, UPrint, J series, Digital Anatomy, MediJet, DentaJet, 3DFashion, Connex, Eden, Objet, and Origin brands. The company provides maintenance and repair services exclusively through its trained Field Service Technicians or authorized Service Contractors. The document appears to support a sole source procurement by the United States Marine Corps for 3D printer maintenance, aligning with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 authority for unique source acquisitions.

STRATASYS.COM / THE 3D PRINTING SOLUTIONS COMPANY

14 March 2025

Ladies and Gentleman:

As of this time, Stratasys is the owner of, and holds, more than 1,700 granted and pending patents globally. Our additive manufacturing systems utilize our patented FDM®, inkjet-based PolyJet™, powder-based SAF™, and stereolithography and resin-based P3™ Programmable PhotoPolymerization technologies to enable the production of prototypes, tools used for production and manufactured goods directly from 3D CAD files, or other 3D content.

Our FDM® technology uses production grade thermoplastic building materials that feature surface resolution, chemical and heat resistance, color, and mechanical properties necessary for production of functional prototypes and parts. Our 3D inkjet-based PolyJet™ printing technology is differentiated from other technologies in its ability to scale and deliver high-resolution and multi-material printing, in color. Our SAF™ technology delivers production level throughput for end-use parts in a high-speed sintering process that maintains a uniform thermal experience across the print bed, delivering consistency in printed parts regardless of their placement in the build. Our P3™ technology is an evolution of digital light processing that prints production-grade parts from performance materials at high throughput, using a programmable and proprietary printing process and process controls.

We believe that our 3D printing systems are unique in the combination of superior printing qualities, accuracy, print speed, the ability to print a range of materials with varying levels of strength, chemical and heat resistance, color and mechanical properties, the ability to print multiple materials simultaneously and suitability for office environments.

Stratasys is the sole source of the design and technology of equipment sold under its trademarks, including its Stratasys® trademark and its technology FDM® trademarks, and the specific trademarked Fortus, F series, Dimension, UPrint, J series, Digital Anatomy, MediJet, DentaJet, 3DFashion, Connex, Eden, Objet, and Origin brands. In addition, Stratasys provides maintenance and repair services to its customers exclusively through its specially trained Field Service Technicians or through its authorized Service Contractors.

Purchase orders should be made out directly to Stratasys.

Thank you very much for your interest in the Stratasys Product Line. If you have any questions, please contact your account executive.

Sincerely, Josh Boggess VP Channel Sales
