3. Description of Services or Supplies:

ConnectNY e-Book acquisition, access and consortial services. ConnectNY is a consortium of independent academic institutions in New York State. The mission of ConnectNY is to share collections, leverage resources, and enhance services through cooperative initiatives and coordinated activities.

a. Background:

This procurement is for a one-year membership to ConnectNY. CNY (ConnectNY), Inc.

offers membership benefits not offered by any other vendor. The ConnectNY consortium is made up of 19 academic libraries including the USMA Library, RIT, RPI, Vassar, Bard, Skidmore, Union, Colgate and others. The membership includes access to a database of over 5 million items in all formats. USMA library patrons access the ConnectNY database from the USMA library’s website, and independently request items that are needed for their research. They are delivered to the library within 48 hours, a great benefit to our time constrained cadets and faculty. In addition to the membership and borrowing privileges, a
