REQUIREMENT Product number AngArm-00233; AngArm-00235 Lightweight modular ballistic plates for use by MC-12W Aircrews. This purchase is in addition to another purchase of plate carriers that will fit with these specific part numbers. The Truth SNAP plates are the only patent-pending modular plate system available on the market with dual strike faces, an ultra-lightweight design and multi-hit capability. Angel Armor is the only manufacturer that offers the features found in the Truth 855 plates, specifically the modular system and the magnetic snap technology. The back plates in the modular system are neutrally buoyant. Truth CSF (Ceramic Strike Face) plate provides scalable protection against handgun, rifle, stab and special threats in a lightweight, modular design. Plate system allows for scalability allowing the wearer to armor up or down depending on the threat. The full system offers protection against specialized threats including M855 green tip and SS109 rounds. Plate system is 1.1” thick, featuring radiused edges to reduce uniform ‘printing’. The 9x11 shooters cut system is 3.71lbs and the 10x12 shooters cut system is 4.61lbs. The overall weight savings per aircrew member is 20lbs. Developed and tested IAW currently listed NIJ Standard 0101.07.

4. Impact if action is not completed using Angel Armor restriction: Reduced mobility and functionality for aircrew ergonomics. Decreased mission capability due to extra weight required by current plate carrier and plate options.
