About this file

This document is a Justification for Single Source Award under Simplified Acquisition Procedures for the procurement of Metasys Building Automated Controls and Mechanical Maintenance Services for the Department of Veterans Affairs, West Haven Medical Center.

The procurement is for labor, transportation, parts, and expertise necessary to provide preventative maintenance, routine repair, and emergency repairs for the existing Metasys building automation system, air handling units, chillers, and boiler plant serving the entire West Haven campus. The justification cites the proprietary and unique nature of the Metasys system as the reason for the sole source award to Johnson Controls Inc. for a base year contract valued at $592,880 from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025.
