This product serves as an audit tool that allows SAMSHA’s DPT to meet its regulatory requirements of conducting look back site visits to a subset of opioid treatment programs (OTPs) that have been the subject of a recent accreditation survey. This requirement is outlined in 42 CFR §8.5 - Periodic evaluation of accreditation bodies -SAMHSA will evaluate periodically the performance of accreditation bodies primarily by inspecting a selected sample of the OTPs accredited by the accrediting body and by evaluating the accreditation body's reports of surveys conducted, to determine whether the OTPs surveyed and accredited by the accreditation body are in compliance with the Federal opioid treatment standards. As a result of the look behind site visits, there will be an evaluation to determine if there are any deficiencies in the accreditation body's performance that may warrant corrective action or withdrawal of the approval of the accreditation body under §8.6.
Purpose and Objectives The purpose of this contract is to secure a sole-source license software with Momentive Inc., the necessary software audit tool that is required to administer the accreditation body audit tool during regulatory site reviews.
