About this file

This document is a specification excerpt for actuators to be installed on existing ASAHI 24" valves as part of a federal contract requirement.

The actuators must be capable of adapting to control signals that allow for partial and full opening or closing positions, including specific parametric commands such as 1/4, 1/2, or 3/4 open positions. The actuators will operate using pulse control (start/stop) signals, enabling positioning control at any point throughout the valve's range of motion. The equipment will be retrofitted onto existing ASAHI 24" ball valves, with the valve nameplate and physical specifications provided in the attached exhibits. Exhibit A displays the ASAHI valve nameplate and position indicator gauge, while Exhibit B shows the complete 24" valve assembly with red manual actuator currently installed, establishing the physical dimensions and connection interface requirements for the new automated actuator system.

Text version

Actuators in line “o” above will require the ability to adapt to a signal, allowing them to open or shut to specific parameters commands (e.g., 1/4, 1/2, or 3/4 open). Using pulse control (start/stop) single to the actuator. The actuator receives this single, controlling the actuator in any position. The actuators will be installed on existing ASAHI 24” valves (data plate and valve picture attached exhibit A & B).

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Exhibit A: Name plate

Exhibit B: 24” valve
