STATEMENT OF WORK

WFRC PERIMETER CHAIN LINK FENCE DAMAGE REPAIR

1.0 Introduction and Background

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) Western Fisheries Research Center (WFRC) located in Seattle, Washington requires chain link fence repair services for damaged perimeter fencing along the NE 65th Street boundary of the campus. The WFRC carries out research and provides technical assistance to support the best possible stewardship of the Nation's natural resources, emphasizing fish populations and aquatic ecosystems of the West. The WFRC has a 50-year history of excellence in fisheries disciplines and are leaders in the field of molecular and microbiology within the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).

The WFRC Seattle campus perimeter is secured by chain link fencing. A 40-linear-foot section of the existing perimeter fence along NE 65th Street has been damaged and requires complete replacement. The existing fence materials are WW2-era vintage 'C-channel' posts and rails which are no longer readily available, necessitating full replacement of all materials in the damaged section to bring it into conformance with the balance of the perimeter fence.
