About this file

This document is a Questions & Answers (Q&A) addendum for Request for Quote (RFQ) # S01CACPROB25-0005 issued by the United States District Court, Central District of California. The Q&A addresses specific inquiries regarding firearm specifications for a solicitation, with three key clarifications: (1) the Glock G47 is not an acceptable weapon substitution, (2) adding an optics cut via CNC mill is not permitted, and (3) while Glock has replaced the Glock 17 GEN 5 MOS, vendors are instructed to price out the Glock 19 GEN MOS instead. The document provides clear guidance to potential offerors about precise product requirements and acceptable variations for the solicitation.

To Whom It May Concern:

The purpose of this letter is to answer questions regarding the above-referenced RFQ.

Question 1: Would the G47 be an acceptable substitution under this solicitation?

Answer 1: The Glock G47 would not be an acceptable substitution under this solicitation.

Question 2: If the Glocks were the Gen 5, but had to have an optics cut added via CNC mill would that be acceptable?

Answer 2: No, an optics cut via CNC mill would not be acceptable.

Question 3: Since Glock has replaced the Glock 17 GEN 5 MOS with the Glock 47 GEN 5 MOS, is it okay to use that instead? If not, is it okay just to price out the Glock 19 GEN MOS?

Answer 3: The Glock 47 GEN 5 MOS will not be an acceptable substitution for this solicitation. You can just price out the Glock 19 GEN MOS.
