The 2027 Senior Leader Logistics Symposium (SLLS 2027) convenes senior military and defense logisticians, Joint Staff directors, and national policy authorities from more than 25 Western Hemisphere Partner Nations (PNs) and regional allies in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from June 1–3, 2027. The industry-focused exposition segment takes place on June 2–3, 2027.

2.2 Strategic Imperatives & Symposium Theme

Symposium Theme: "Shared Challenges, Sustainable Solutions: Advancing Regional Logistics for Stability"

Strategic Directives Supported:

Americas Counter Cartel Coalition (A3C): Denying illicit networks the use of international transit corridors, ports, and remote ungoverned air and maritime spaces.

Strengthen Hemispheric Command & Control (C2): Expanding common operational pictures and real-time cross-border situational awareness.

Defeat Designated Terrorist Organizations (DTOs) & Transnational Criminal Networks (TCOs): Exposing and dismantling trafficking and logistics seams.

Theater Maintenance Partnership Initiative (TMPI): Improving regional readiness and sustainment self-reliance through local repair, training, and maintenance capacity.

Field Cost-Effective, Modernized Forces: Focusing procurement and sustainment on high-availability, low-footprint platforms rather than cost-prohibitive exquisite systems.

3. Operational Terms & Industry Participation Profile

3.1 Defined Operational Terms

Area of Responsibility (AOR): Encompasses the land mass of Latin America south of Mexico, adjacent waters of Central and South America, and the Caribbean Sea basin.

Active Stakeholder: Industry vendors that possess fielded equipment, active support contracts, software deployments, maintenance programs, or operational services with U.S. or partner-nation defense forces in the AOR. Priority consideration is provided to commercial organizations operating across multi-nation frameworks.

3.2 Participant Profile Requirements

Logistics & Engineering Focus: In strict alignment with the symposium’s focus on long-term sustainability, vendor representatives must be designated technical leads, logistics directors, systems engineers, or sustainment program managers. Attendees must be prepared to address whole-of-life ownership costs, supply chains, maintenance cycles, and component interoperability with partner-nation logisticians.

Language Proficiency: Industry delegations should include bi- or trilingual personnel (Spanish/English/Portuguese) to facilitate meaningful bilateral dialogue with partner-nation delegations.

Delegation Size: Firm limit of two (2) credentialed vendor representatives per selected company.

4. Priority Technology Challenge Areas

The SLLS 2027 agenda focuses on problem-centric, sustainable capabilities. Capability white papers must directly map to one of the following three priority tracks:

| SLLS 2027 TECHNICAL TRACKS |

| Track 1: Persistent Domain Awareness & Data Fusion ("Seeing the Threat Together") | Track 2: Supply Chain Security & Non-Intrusive Interdiction ("Hardening Our Defenses") | | Track 3: Sustainable Sustainment, Fleet Modernization & Resilience ("Maintaining the Edge") |

Track 1: Persistent Domain Awareness & Data Fusion ("Seeing the Threat Together")

Challenge: Transnational criminal enterprises deliberately operate across maritime, riverine, and jungle border seams where sovereign coverage is sparse or segmented.

Low-Cost Persistent Surveillance: Group 1–3 tactical Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) with extended dwell time, tethered aerostats/drones engineered for continuous checkpoint and harbor monitoring, and commercial Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and electro-optical (EO) satellite constellations.

AI/ML-Driven Anomaly Detection & Data Fusion Platforms: Multi-source software engines capable of fusing vessel Automatic Identification System (AIS) telemetry, civilian air traffic transponder data, radar tracks, and customs registries in real time to isolate illicit air flights and semi-submersible craft.

Autonomous Remote Sensing Arrays: Low-SWaP unattended ground sensors (UGS), solar-powered riverine acoustic monitors, and moored or drifting ocean sensor buoys with automated satellite/mesh backhaul to detect border incursions in austere key terrain.

Track 2: Supply Chain Security & Non-Intrusive Interdiction ("Hardening Our Defenses")

Challenge: Illicit organizations exploit legitimate commercial transit infrastructure, including container shipping lanes, inland waterways, and major regional air and sea ports.

Non-Intrusive Inspection (NII) Technologies: Mobile, relocatable, and drive-through high-throughput X-ray and gamma-ray cargo and vehicle scanners; handheld chemical and narcotics spectroscopy analyzers capable of rapid field detection without impeding licit trade flows.

Secure, Interoperable Tactical Communications: Export-ready, encrypted tactical radio equipment, low-SWaP data links, and secure Push-to-Talk over Cellular/Satellite (PTToC) bridging systems enabling interoperable, multinational C2 across disparate militaries and law enforcement units.

Supply Chain Transparency & Provenance Control: Tamper-evident electronic seals (e-seals), automated container tracking systems, and distributed digital ledger tools for chain-of-custody verification of controlled goods and critical chemical precursors.

Track 3: Sustainable Sustainment, Fleet Modernization & Energy Resilience ("Maintaining the Edge")

Challenge: Partner nations struggle with the high maintenance costs and supply-chain vulnerabilities of aging tactical fleets and fuel-dependent forward bases.

Predictive Maintenance & Fleet Analytics (TMPI Alignment): Machine learning applications and Health Usage Monitoring Systems (HUMS) analyzing sensor telemetry and vibration data to forecast component failure on riverine craft, helicopters, and tactical vehicles prior to breakdown.

Expeditionary Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing): Deployable metal and polymer additive systems capable of producing obsolete, discontinued, or long-lead spare parts at forward operating stations.

Austere Energy & Power Management: Tactical hybrid microgrids, deployable solar-battery arrays, and intelligent power storage systems engineered to eliminate bulk fuel convoy exposure and reduce lifecycle sustainment burdens at austere outposts.

5. Industry Participation Formats

Selected industry participants will engage through three structured interaction formats during the exhibition segment:

1. Interactive Capability Demonstrations: Static, tabletop, or software-driven technical demonstrations presented directly to senior Latin American and Caribbean delegations, Joint Staff planners, and USSOUTHCOM logisticians.
