About this file

This is a Sign Specifications document from the South Dakota Department of Game, Fish and Parks detailing an annual order for walk-in area and Game Production Area signage to be delivered by May 1st, 2026. The order encompasses 19 distinct sign types across four regional offices, with quantities ranging from 10 to 600 units per sign type. Signs are specified in two standard sizes: 10" X 14" (General Specification #1) and 12" X 18" (General Specification #2), with background colors including white, red, orange, yellow, and blue. All signs must be manufactured from high-density linear polyethylene or plastic-reinforced fiberglass with UV inhibitors, feature silk-screened legends, rounded corners, mounting holes, and urethane clearcoat finishes. The specification requires a three-year guarantee against fading, bleeding, or clearcoat flaking under normal outdoor conditions, with artwork proofs required prior to production.

Signs are distributed across multiple regional offices: Region I (Rapid City), Region II with sub-offices in Chamberlain, Mobridge, and Fort Pierre, Region III (Sioux Falls), and Region IV with sub-offices in Aberdeen and Watertown. Walk-in area signs (items A through K) totaling approximately 2,475 units are invoiced to Mark Norton in Pierre with specific project coding (comp# 0008-10601170), while Game Production Area and related signs (items L through S) totaling approximately 1,200 units are assigned separate project codes by region (comp# 0008-10608101 through 0008-10608104). The document includes detailed text specifications for each sign type, referencing 18 plate illustrations with corresponding messaging related to hunting access, property restrictions, and facility regulations.
