About this file

This is a Scope of Work document from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Wildlife Division for the Mazurik Fishing Access Sidewalk Replacement project in Lakeside-Marblehead, OH. The project involves replacing existing asphalt sidewalks with ADA-compatible concrete sidewalks at six designated locations totaling approximately 588 linear feet. The new sidewalks must be 4 feet wide, using fiber reinforced concrete at 4,000 psi with 6% air entrainment following ODOT Item #608 specifications. The scope includes replacing three culverts with 12-inch black corrugated drainage pipe. The project must be completed by June 30, 2025, with contractors required to coordinate with the owner regarding optimal work timing due to the site's high public usage. A site visit is strongly recommended and can be arranged through Mike Wilkerson.

The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on low lot total, calculated by multiplying unit costs by estimated usage quantities. All invoices must be submitted directly to Ohio Shared Services through email, fax, or mail options. The project requires careful consideration of timing due to the facility's public usage patterns, with work preferably performed during low-use periods or with a plan to maintain public access. The scope includes detailed technical specifications for concrete composition, installation requirements, and restoration of disturbed areas through seeding.
