About this file

This document is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) regarding Qiagen reagents and consumables. The FBI's DNA Casework Unit utilizes Qiagen robotics and reagents for DNA processing and is seeking market research to determine qualified vendors and product availability.

The RFI outlines preliminary requirements for various Qiagen DNA processing kits, including the ForenSeq DNA Signature Prep Kit, ForenSeq mtDNA Control Region Kit, and MiSeq FGx Sequencing System. The FBI is requesting information from interested contractors on their ability to provide these products, including technical capabilities, personnel, experience, and the feasibility of firm-fixed pricing for up to 5 years. Contractors are also asked to indicate if they have a GSA Schedule contract and can provide the products through that vehicle. Responses are due by November 8, 2024, and the government states this is for informational purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or commitment to award a contract.
