About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the FBI's Finance and Facilities Division for an Agency-wide contract for Open Source Enterprise Class Linux Operating System and Support. The FBI is seeking market research from US-based companies with a Top Secret Facility clearance to provide Linux software solutions that include capabilities such as content repository, identity management, network and device automation, containerization environment, and application services. Interested vendors must submit unclassified responses electronically by 5:00 PM ET on March 31, 2025, to Harriett Williams and Dionna Brown, with a 15-page maximum limit.

The RFI requires vendors to provide company details, evidence of technical ability, information about GSA or NASA SEWP schedules, and any additional comments or concerns. The solicitation (SHOP-PR-25-001495) is a pre-solicitation for market research purposes only, with the intent to potentially develop a competitive solicitation for Linux operating system products and services. The FBI emphasizes that this RFI does not guarantee a future contract, and vendors should not submit proposals, past performance information, or make award requests. Responses are voluntary, and no funds will be provided for response preparation.
