Shipping Instructions for State of Iowa CDC Warehouse Food Items Procurement

This is a Shipping Instructions document for the State of Iowa's food items procurement for the CDC Warehouse in Woodward, Iowa. The document establishes mandatory shipping and product delivery requirements that all bidders must satisfy to be considered responsible and eligible for award. Successful bidders must deliver all food products to the CDC Warehouse with all freight charges and fuel costs included in the bid price. Products must arrive on pallets and shrink-wrapped, transported in clean and insulated trailers. All products must be properly labeled with pack date codes accompanied by a key upon request, and bidders must be prepared to provide proof of pack date and pack origin if requested. Bidders may be asked to submit samples for testing, and all products must meet USDA grade standards for both product and container condition. Products must be shipped within 30 days of purchase order receipt; products arriving after this deadline are considered late and may result in award being given to the next lowest bidder or the solicitation being re-bid.

The document specifies that freight not meeting Agency specifications or containing damaged products will be refused, with the bidder responsible for pickup and replacement at their own expense. Canned products may not be received in a frozen state. If damaged packages are discovered in the middle of a pallet, those packages will be set aside for credit issuance, or the entire load may be refused at the bidder's expense for pickup. Consideration will be given to products packed in the USA. Bidders are responsible for ensuring all products they ship match those indicated in their submitted bids and for bearing all costs associated with product replacement or warehouse expenses incurred by the Agency.
