About this file
This shipping instructions document outlines the mandatory requirements for a successful bidder responding to the Iowa Department of Public Defense's Request for Quote MM245820045 for 185th Air Refueling Wing Fire Training Service. The document establishes comprehensive delivery and product handling standards that bidders must satisfy to be deemed responsible. All freight charges and fuel costs must be included in the bid price with delivery to the agency warehouse, and products must arrive within 30 days of purchase order receipt or be considered late and subject to rebidding or award to the next lowest bidder. Products must be shipped on pallets and shrink-wrapped in clean, insulated trailers, with canned products prohibited from arriving frozen. The agency reserves the right to refuse freight that does not meet specifications, contains damaged products, or fails to comply with USDA grade standards for both product and container condition.
Bidders are responsible for ensuring all products comply with applicable USDA standards and must be prepared to submit samples for testing, provide proof of pack dates and origins upon request, include pack date code keys, and ensure all products are properly labeled. Damaged products or loads may result in the bidder bearing all pickup and replacement costs incurred by the CDC Warehouse. Products must match exactly what was submitted in the bid, and preference will be given to products packed in the USA. These shipping requirements are non-negotiable conditions for bid acceptance and contractor performance under the contract.
