About this file

This memorandum approves the selection of Cummins as the single generator manufacturer for Seymour Johnson Air Force Base's 4th Civil Engineer Squadron for the next five years. The installation is directed to standardize its generators from this supplier and repeat an inventory analysis after five years to confirm the decision remains valid or identify any need to reconsider the approved manufacturer. The related federal contract opportunity is a solicitation from the Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command for Cummins generators under an undefinitized funding requirement for fiscal year 2023.

MEMORANDUM FOR RECORD

FROM: AFCEC/CO

139 Barnes Drive, STE 1 Tyndall AFB, FL 32403-5319

SUBJECT: Generator Standardization, Single Manufacturer Selection

1. This memorandum serves as AFCEC/CO’s official communication approving the selection of a single manufacturer for generators respective to the following installation:

Installation: Unit: Manufacturer:

Seymour Johnson AFB 4 CES Cummins

2. The comprehensive inventory analysis is to be repeated after five years from the date of this memorandum. The purpose of this secondary analysis is to document the installation’s progress in standardizing generators, consider any changes in the decision facts, and confirm no external factors exist that may drive a reconsideration of the approved single manufacturer. Should the BCE determine that a change in single manufacturer is required, a new Memorandum of Request (MOR) and analysis will be accomplished.
