About this file
This document is a Sources Sought Request for Information (RFI) issued by the U.S. Coast Guard for a new residential construction project in Seward, Alaska. The project involves building multiple residential structures, including a two-story 4-bedroom duplex, a two-story 3-bedroom duplex, a single-story 4-bedroom ADA duplex, and an optional accessory support building. The total construction project has an 18-month period of performance, with an assumed 180-day mobilization period and 30-day closeout.
The Coast Guard is seeking experienced firms with specific capabilities: residential construction experience in Alaska, ability to complete the project within timeline and budget constraints, and expertise in coordinating trades in the Kenai Peninsula and Anchorage area. Interested firms are asked to submit a capability statement addressing their relevant experience, current workload, and any questions about the project scope. The RFI emphasizes that this is a market research exercise, submissions are voluntary, and no solicitation is currently open. The NAICS code for the project will be determined based on RFI responses, and the government reserves the right to determine the most appropriate acquisition strategy.
