STATEMENT OF WORK
Southeast Poultry Research Laboratory Isolator Modifications
Purpose: To procure a solution to 4 (four) problems with SEPRL Isolators
1. Add ability to change Exhaust pre-filter without opening cabinet
2. Secure floor from shifting
3. Secure screen door from lifting
4. Minimize floor sag USDA’s Southeast Poultry Research Laboratory (SEPRL) has 160 Poultry Isolators (each with a pair of isolation compartments). We have identified some features that need to be modified, as enumerated above.
The isolator modifications need to be something that can be added without modification to the existing cabinet. A total of 160 pieces for each part of the solution will be needed.
Isolator Description:
The exhaust HEPA filter is in an enclosed box clipped to a recess in the isolator cabinet. The pre-filter is currently accessed from inside the cabinet. We want to add a section so that the pre-filter can be changed from outside the cabinet without disturbing the HEPA filter. Must be made with stainless steel.
Dimensions and clearances of the filter holder are attached as appendix 1. All dimensions in inches.
Photos of the existing filter are attached as Appendix 2.
