About this file

This is a State of Emergency Procurement Form from Sarasota County's Public Works Department, specifically for the Stormwater team. The document details an urgent procurement to inspect and repair damaged stormwater infrastructure pipelines, which are critical components affected by Hurricanes Debby, Milton, and Helene. The procurement is for a contractor to complete necessary stormwater culvert repairs and prevention of stormwater flooding, with a timeframe of 3 to 6 months. The procurement is being processed through a competitive process with vendor SR 2766.

The estimated expenditure for this emergency procurement is $2,000,000.00, with funds expected to be sourced from Debby, Helene, and Milton hurricane recovery resources. The procurement is being handled by Hannah Brechue from the Public Works Department, using a Purchasing Card as the payment method. The form indicates this is a non-competitive procurement under the justification of public exigency, where immediate action is required to address potential threats to public safety and property. The vendor has been verified as not being on the debarment and suspension list, and the procurement has been approved by the appropriate authority on 08/14/25.
