A. 12 Volt DC Electric Motor coupled to Hydraulic Pump (ePTO). Installed on unit pedestal with steel guard to protect the electric motor.

B. Recharge Systems: A plug-in charge location is provided as standard on the streetside front of body (charging cord is provided). Batteries are recharged when plugged into a dedicated 30Amp 120VAC circuit. Drive cycle charge provides at least 50Amps of charge from the chassis alternator while driving. (NOTE: JEMS DC Drive requires a inverter/charger for plug-in charging.)

Item Description Units Qty Yes No

C. The JEMS control module (JCM) monitors and manages the JEMS DC Drive System. When the JEMS DC battery voltage drops below 10.5 Volts, the JCM attempts to automatically start the chassis to recharge the batteries. The batteries will continue to charge until the voltage reaches

13.5 Volts.

D. A cab-installed battery charge indicator provides JEMS DC Drive battery charge levels. The indicator will flash while the JCM automatically starts the chassis to recharge the batteries and continue flashing until the batteries reach 13.5 Volts.

E. On-Demand Operation: When the Master switch is turned ON, the JEMS DC Drive system is activated and the JCM manages the start/stop of the chassis engine. ePTO operation is available when the upper or lower control safety interlock has been satisfied.

F. Integral safety interlocks ensure that the following conditions must be met prior to unit operation: chassis in park, parking brake set, and a demand is created either through activation of the upper or lower control interlock.

G. Integral safety interlocks ensure that the vehicle auto-start will only be initiated when the hood is closed.
