About this file
This document is a list of secure and verifiable documents published by the State of Georgia under O.C.G.A. 50-36-2 authority, applicable to the City of Norcross Information Technology Department's cybersecurity assessment and governance services contract opportunity. The document establishes acceptable forms of identification for verification purposes within Georgia, including U.S. passports, military identification cards, driver's licenses from compliant states, state identification cards, tribal identification cards, permanent resident cards, employment authorization documents, foreign passports, merchant mariner documents, and various trusted traveler cards such as FAST, NEXUS, and SENTRI cards. Additionally, Canadian driver's licenses and USCIS certificates of citizenship and naturalization are deemed acceptable. The list explicitly identifies nine states whose driver's licenses are currently non-compliant with immigration verification requirements: Alaska, Idaho, Illinois, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Rhode Island, Utah, and Washington, with Maryland and Massachusetts listed as pending compliance status.
The document provides that federal law may require acceptance of additional documents for specific public benefits or programs, which would then be considered secure and verifiable documents solely for those particular administrative purposes. This identification framework establishes baseline security protocols relevant to personnel verification and compliance governance requirements that would be integral to the cybersecurity consulting engagement outlined in the related contract opportunity, ensuring that identity verification processes meet state standards for any employment or access control provisions implemented as part of the city's comprehensive security and compliance framework development.
