1. PROJECT INTRODUCTION

1.1. PROJECT TITLE

Design and construct seven (7) anterooms.

1.2. PROJECT BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE

1.2.1. The USDA, Agricultural Research Service, Southeast Poultry Research Laboratory (SEPRL) provides scientific solutions to national and international exotic, emerging, and endemic poultry viral diseases.

1.2.2. The SEPRL complex consists of many separate buildings located on 32 acres adjacent to the University of Georgia. Specialized facilities, designed and operated to contain highly infectious diseases of poultry, allow research on these diseases to be performed without posing a threat to the environment, the public, or to the poultry industry.

1.2.3. The SEPRL has eight (8) specific pathogen free (SPF) chicken houses located in four (4) buildings. Each building has a chicken house on the north and south sides. The buildings share a mechanical space/equipment room which designates the north chicken house from the south chicken house.
