About this file

This is a System Requirements workbook for RFQ SD24-00022 from the California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) detailing technical specifications for a Nurse Call System (NCS). The requirements document outlines comprehensive specifications across multiple categories including General System Requirements, Hardware, Software, Data Networking, and Training requirements for implementing and maintaining a UL 1069-compliant nurse call system throughout CCHCS facilities. The system must support nurse-patient communications, emergency notifications, dome lights, integration with electronic health records, and extensive reporting capabilities.

The technical requirements emphasize the need for integration with CCHCS' Active Directory, HL7 compatibility with the Electronic Health Records System, support for at least 18 concurrent patient calls, and ability to interface with multiple wireless communication systems. The vendor must provide 24/7 technical support, regular firmware/software updates, and training for various user groups. The implementation team must include certified technicians with confined space training, an engagement manager with 5+ years of project management experience, and nursing program subject matter experts. While pricing details are not included in this requirements document, vendors must possess either a California C-7/C-10 Electrical Contractor License or B-General Building Contractor License with qualified subcontractors.
