Upgrade Intercom System, Red Rock Day School
Upgrade Intercom System:
The project objective is to complete upgrade of intercom system at the Red Rock Day School, which was partially completed.
1. Contractor shall follow all work safety regulations and provide personnel with appropriate safety equipment; gloves, security shoes, and protective gear.
2. The Contractor is required to comply with all Federal, State and local safety requirements.
3. Provide any additional hardware, software and licensing as necessary to support the intercom system. The Contractor shall be responsible for configuring and optimizing the intercom system.
4. Contractor shall keep the work area organized; contractor shall ensure the working area is in walking conditions throughout the building.
The Contractor shall provide all equipment, materials, labor, supervision, and performance of work as shown and specified in the submittals, specifications and provision of this Contract service to the Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) location of job site - RED ROCK DAY SCHOOL, New Mexico Navajo North Agency, Shiprock, New Mexico.
Scope of work:
The necessary intercom system for the needs of the project shall be supplied equipped by the vendor.
The Contractor shall include the supply, installation, testing and delivery in perfect running conditions of intercom system in missing rooms in main building, 132, 535, 712 and 1691. These installations comprise, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Vendor is completing a job that was started in June and is to use new system put in that is compatible with new system (Valcom). Each of the rooms identified should have updated wall speakers and wall/push call buttons to the front office.
o Furnish and install new intercom system this should include all wiring, wall speakers, and call button located in the RRDS (Main building#528 /7 Rooms and four out building, and removal of old intercom system and wiring. Building #528 Main Building (14 rooms) Out Buildings #712, 132, 974 A & B, and two storage units.
2. All scheduled site work for the upgrade and installation should be scheduled between the hours of 8 AM to 4 PM. Monday to Friday, this job has to be done during the day with minimal power outage not exceeding more than 60 mins. Weather may affect ability to complete task or job.
3. This needs to be reported the school principal and maintenance worker.
4. A list of existing phone numbers and floor plan will be provided for mapping of equipment along with the old phone system.
5. Provide any additional hardware, software and licensing as necessary to support the intercom system. The Contractor shall be responsible for configuring and optimizing the intercom system.
6. The Contractor shall submit a work schedule of days and hours of each day that the contractor's employees will require access to each facility. The work schedule shall give specific dates for the following activities at the site: equipment delivery, station reviews, installation, programming, testing, training, pre-cutover testing, cutover, and final system acceptance.
The Contractor shall provide all equipment, materials, labor, supervision, and performance of work as shown and specified in the submittals, specifications and provision of this Contract service to the Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) location of job site - RED ROCK DAY SCHOOL, New Mexico Navajo North Agency, Shiprock, New Mexico.
Field Verification:
Contractor is strongly encouraged to visit jobsite to verify conditions before giving price quotes.
Qualification:
1. Only personnel who thoroughly trained and experienced in installation of intercom system shall be used on this project.
2. Upon completion of installation the contractor shall arrange for an inspection to be made by OIMT personnel specializing in intercom Systems or COR before final payment will be released be test for normal usage and to check all safety limits for proper operation.
Delivery and Storage:
1. Deliver all materials for use on the project in new and undamaged condition.
2. Deliver adequate materials for installation is not to cause delay in project completion.
3. Contractor shall take extreme care when transporting materials to jobsite. Damaged materials shall not be installed and must be removed from jobsite. The COR of the project shall have authority to mark any damage materials.
Use of Premises:
l. Confine operations while performing work to areas directly related to work.
2. Keep all walkways and entrances clear to the maximum extent possible. Do not use these areas for storage of materials. Contractor shall provide its own storage and utilities.
3. At end of each work day and at completion of project contractor shall remove all debris, unused materials, and equipment from the work area.
Barricades:
1. Contractor shall provide adequate barricades for safety at all times during the performance of the contract.
2. Contractor will report to the school administration office and sign-in up arrival and sign-out when exiting the school site.
Damage to Equipment/Building:
Contractor shall exercise care during performance of the contract work as not to damage existing equipment or building. Any damage caused by the contractors during construction to any equipment or building shall be replaced or repaired by the contractors at no expense to the Government.
Warranty:
Manufacture provides equipment warranty, and a certificate will be provided by Contractor for workmanship and all equipment installation.
Government Furnished Equipment & Information:
The building and the surrounding site area will be occupied and school operations will continue on a normal operation during the duration of the contract. The contractor shall take all precautions to ensure that the operations are conducted in a manner so as not to interfere with the normal school operation.
1. The contractor shall execute work in a safe manner and shall not subject to personnel unsafe conditions.
2. The contractor shall provide safety barricades, devices, and equipment to protect personnel and property.
3. The contractor shall take all precautions to protect the building and its occupants during the construction period. Repair damage caused by construction operations must be repaired.
4. The contractor shall dispose of materials removed to proper disposal site.
5. The contractor shall adhere to all local requirement concerning removal, transporting and disposal of material.
6. Contractor shall keep the area neat and tidy and free of debris at the end of each workday.
7. The contractor shall provide ample temporary storage shed space for materials requiring shelter for security and safety protection. This will be arranged by key personnel.
8. The contactor shall warrantee work to be free of defects and workmanship for a period of 1 year.
9. The contractor shall under no circumstance incur any travel or other costs or begins the work at the site until they receive approval from the contract officer.
Deliverables/Schedule:
The contractor shall notify key personnel prior to start of work. The contractor shall update progress of work throughout the service period.
Period of Performance:
Award date to 90 days after award; work hours will begin at 7:00 am. Work to be performed in other than normal hours shall be approved by the school key personnel.
Federal Holidays - Close campus the following dates;
Labor Day- September 5, 2022
Columbus Day- October 10, 2022 Veteran's Day- November 11, 2022 Thanksgiving Day - November 24, 2022 Christmas Day - December 26, 2022
Security Requirements:
Contractor will sign in and out on a daily basis at the school receptionist desk. Contractor must wear badge.
