About this file

This document is a Scope of Work (SOW) for Gun Range Bullet Trap Maintenance and Hazardous Waste Disposal at Marine Corps Blount Island Command (BIC) in Jacksonville, Florida. The contract requires a qualified contractor to perform semiannual maintenance on a modular shooting range (AIS/SRI model MTRR 2/120 Rifle Tactical and Sniper Static), including cleaning shooting range surfaces, replacing filters, and properly handling lead-contaminated hazardous waste. Specific tasks include packaging and labeling waste in UN-DOT approved containers, replacing pre-filters and ventilation filters, and ensuring all waste is turned into the installation's Central Accumulation Area.

The related federal contract opportunity is a Sources Sought Notice (Solicitation M6700425Q1014) seeking qualified vendors to perform these maintenance and hazardous waste disposal services. Potential contractors must provide documentation of capabilities, be able to work on-site at Blount Island Command, and have personnel who can qualify for base access. The submission deadline is 25 June 2025, and companies must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). The notice emphasizes that this is a market research effort to identify potential sources and is not a commitment to procure services. Interested companies should submit a capabilities package including company profile, employee count, office locations, CAGE code, and relevant past performance.
