About this file

This Scope of Work document is from the Department of Transportation (DOT) detailing a concrete crushing project for four garage sites. The project involves crushing a pile of broken concrete between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026, with a contractor responsible for providing all necessary equipment, labor, and materials. The concrete must be crushed to 3/4" Class A specifications (Gradation No. 11), with an estimated quantity of 1,176.98 tons of material to be processed.

The contractor will be required to remove rebar from the material and utilize a grizzly to remove excess dirt and fines, with any removed rebar potentially becoming the contractor's property. For stockpiles estimated over 2,000 tons, a quality control (QC) gradation must be reported to District 1 Materials on form 8201278, with the district conducting a random verification gradation for acceptance. The estimated quantity is approximate and should be verified by the contractor prior to beginning work.
