SCOPE OF WORK

1. SCOPE

The U.S. Naval Medical Research Unit SOUTH (NAMRU SOUTH) is engaged in research of tropical infectious diseases. One of these projects include detection of cases, vaccines, and therapeutics development using animal models against dengue. BACKGROUND Objectives These activities require the availability of reagents and supplies to conduct characterization of immune responses to DENV infection and identify viral levels as part of animal challenge studies General requirements: The department has a critical need to acquire reagents and supplies for molecular detection of dengue virus infection and immunological testing for measuring antibody levels during infection and vaccine challenge. The purchase of these reagents and supplies is critical for achieving our objectives and to increase our throughput. This will support both currently funded objectives as well as enable acquisition of future funding.
