About this file

This is a Scope of Work document for Wilkes Community College in North Carolina, detailing a re-bid project for Building 7 storm drainage repair. The project encompasses the design and installation of new storm drainage infrastructure, including the removal and replacement of pavement to accommodate the updated drainage system. The scope includes site preparation, excavation, installation of new drainage pipes and structures, and restoration of the affected pavement areas to their original or improved condition. The project is structured as a construction contract requiring licensed contractors with experience in drainage infrastructure and site restoration work. Specific response deadlines, site visit schedules, pre-bid meetings, and award timelines should be referenced in the associated bidding documents and notice of intent to bid requirements established by Wilkes Community College.

The document establishes pricing terms based on a competitive bidding process, with contractors submitting detailed cost proposals for labor, materials, equipment, and project management. The project may include set-asides for small businesses or minority-owned enterprises as determined by North Carolina state and local procurement regulations. Funding for this re-bid project derives from the college's capital improvement budget or designated facilities maintenance accounts. Contractors should note that this is a re-bid, indicating the project was previously solicited, and interested parties should review all addenda and modifications issued since the original bid announcement to ensure compliance with any updated specifications or requirements.
