About this file
This is a rebid solicitation document from the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction for a Fire Alarm Replacement project at Scotland Correctional Institution. The project involves the replacement of the existing fire alarm system with a new, modern fire detection and alarm system that meets current North Carolina Fire Code requirements and NFPA 72 standards. The scope includes design, installation, testing, and commissioning of a new fire alarm system throughout the facility, with particular attention to integration with existing building systems and compliance with correctional facility security protocols. The solicitation requests sealed bids from qualified contractors with experience in correctional facility fire alarm installations.
Specific pricing terms, bid submission dates, and contract award timelines are to be determined according to the rebid schedule established by the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction. The project is funded through the Department's capital improvement budget. This is a rebid of the original solicitation, indicating that the initial bid process did not result in a contract award or that circumstances required reissuance of the opportunity. Prospective bidders should review all technical specifications, security requirements, and facility-specific conditions detailed in the complete solicitation documents and any issued addenda prior to bid submission.
