About this file

This document is a Schedule B - Pricing request for a state contract opportunity issued by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) for the Waterloo Recreation Area near Chelsea, Michigan. The purpose of the contract is to obtain healthy, native, local genotype, bare root and/or container-grown tree seedlings in the species and quantities described, to be used for reclamation and restoration of a gravel mine. The requested quantities include 6,000 container and 6,000 bare root Quercus alba (White oak), 12,000 container and 12,000 bare root Quercus velutina (Black oak), and 500 container and 500 bare root Hamamelis virginiana (Witch hazel). All container tree seedlings must be ready for delivery or pick-up by November 1, 2024, and all bare root trees by November 15, 2024.

The pricing schedule requires bidders to provide unit prices for each species in both container and bare root options. Bidders are encouraged to offer quick payment terms with a discount for payment within a specified number of days. Pricing must include all costs, and the Contractor certifies that prices were arrived at independently without collusion. The DNR will choose the best option, either container or bare root, for each species in the best interest of the state and project.
