About this file

This is a product specification and delivery document for the State of Maine's procurement of a Scalar i6000 storage system. The request includes one configured Scalar i6000 system with a 100-slot license key, twelve Drive Ready Expansion Modules, twelve 4Gb IBM LTO-4 Tape Drive Modules, and one redundant power supply. Installation and configuration services are required for the base system, expansion modules, and all twelve tape drive modules. Support services include a Gold Support Plan (7x24x4 on-site response) for both the base library and tape drive modules, with annual pricing and contract terms coterminous with the agreement ending February 14, 2014. All equipment must be delivered to the Sewall Street data center at 127 Sewall Street in Augusta, Maine, where coordination with a Backup Group member is required thirty minutes prior to delivery due to the absence of a loading dock and on-site staffing.

Installation and maintenance services must be performed by Quantum as the vendor maintains the existing i2000 unit into which the new drives will be integrated. The procurement encompasses hardware, software licensing, onsite installation, configuration, and comprehensive support services. No pricing terms, set-asides, or incumbent information is specified in this document. The specification emphasizes the technical requirements and logistical constraints for successful delivery and integration of the equipment into Maine's existing infrastructure.
