6. The scope of work does not specify intervals for preventative maintenance. Will the PM intervals be monthly, quarterly or other? Please advise.

Answer 6: The preventative maintenance shall be performed on a quarterly schedule. For new equipment that is being proposed the government anticipates a quarterly maintenance schedule unless the manufactory recommendation is different. If you are not proposing a quarterly plan please specify why.

7. For cost savings, it is our recommendation to provide like kind replacement equipment. This may allow reuse of power, piping and ductwork. However, if replacement equipment capacity is changed, design and engineering may be required (at an additional cost) to ensure the room temperature requirement is met.

How would you like us to proceed?

Answer 7: The government would like the equipment that is proposed to be at least equivalent if not better (like kind replacement) than what is currently in place. The capability of the system should not be less than what is currently in place.

8. Please confirm if existing piping, electrical and appurtenances is in suitable condition, it may be reused?

Answer 8: At this time all existing piping, electrical and appurtenances is in suitable condition. If piping, electrical, and/or appurtenances is reused, then contractor assumes all responsibility and agrees to warranty reused parts as though installed new along with new equipment.

9. Shall we include cut, patch and paint of drywall if required?

Answer 9: Yes, you should include cut, patch and paint of drywall if required.

10. Existing DDC/BAS integration is assumed to be disconnected/reconnected by others. Please confirm/advise.

Answer 10: This is not applicable to this job. All equipment is above standard and does NOT tie into the base building energy management system.

11. It is assumed the Halon Fire Protection System will be taken in and out of service by others. Please

Answer 11: SBA will contact BFPE to take Halon system in 6 floor LAN room down for the duration of the 6 floor equipment replacement.

12. If it is determined that a crane will be needed to set roof equipment, will an FAA permit or other specialty procedures be required?

Answer 12: No FAA permit or other specialty procedures will be required

13. We recommend preventative maintenance for the new 6th floor equipment to start upon installation and the performance period to end March 20, 2018. Preventative maintenance for equipment on floors 1, 5 and 6, as defined in scope of work, would then start for same performance period. Please

Answer 13: The 6 floor equipment maintenance can begin at the time that the 6 th floor LAN room equipment is installed with successful system start-up. For the 1 st and 5 th floors your quote must include the maintenance starting March 21, 2018 through the remainder of the base year (approximately June 19, 2018, 1 year from date of award) and the option years. The 6 th floor will have the new equipment that will be maintained from the beginning of the award. Since the 5 th and 1 st Floor equipment replacement is optional your quote must be priced with both the cost to maintain the current systems and the cost of what the new systems will be.

14. We did not know of the RFP prior and missed the deadline for the walkthrough. I was wondering if we could coordinate a visit to come by and look at the units to be replaced?

Answer 14: At this time the government is not having another walk through.

15. We would like to request Liebert Corporation and STULZ Air Technology Systems, Inc. as an approved equipment suppliers?

Answer 15: The government would like the equipment that is proposed to be at least equivalent if not better than what is currently in place. The capability of the system should not be less than what is currently in place.
