The above referenced solicitation is hereby amended to respond to technical questions submitted.

1. The following questions and responses are hereby provided.

QUESTION #1:Installation and Training…. the specific fluid types are not clearly stated in the Statement of Work Specification. Can you please specify what fluid types are required for calibration at installation?
RESPONSE #1:Reference the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation, Section IV.B.

QUESTION #2: For requirements 11 and 13. We will update our statement to reflect the changes in the SOW that specify water. This change makes the requirement identical to Requirement #13 in terms of the performance of the instrument. Can you specify how these requirements (2.5 nl water dispense) would be different (requirements 11 and 13) outside of the eventual application from a performance standpoint?

RESPONSE #2: The difference is that spec 13 requires 1-minute transfer time from any well to any well of a 384 well plate

QUESTION #3: If the requirement is that the instrument shall integrate with Labcyte Access software, please specify that Labcyte is willing to write a driver for the ATS. The capability to of integrating a device under scheduling software is driven by the software manufacturer, not the instrument manufacturer.

RESPONSE #3: The ability to integrate with Labcyte Access Workstation is and always has been a specification.

This can be done with Labcyte Access software or another software solution. NIST cannot
specify what Labcyte will or will not do.

QUESTION #4: Are you planning to integrate this instrument into the Labcyte Access Software?

RESPONSE #4: NIST is planning to integrate this with multiple instruments including a Access Laboratory

Workstation, a BioTek MultiFlo dispenser and at least one instrument for each of the following
classes: Plate Sealer; Plate Peeler; Centrifuge; and Microplate Storage Rack.

The following information is hereby provided with respect to requirements 18 & 19:

Drivers must already exist that integrate this instrument with a Access Laboratory Workstation with the capability to integrate with a BioTek MultiFlo dispenser and at least one instrument for each of the following classes: Plate Sealer; Plate Peeler; Centrifuge; and Microplate Storage Rack. NIST requires a turnkey solution and does not have the know-how or time to develop drivers for multiple instruments.

The due date for quotations remains unchanged.
