SB1341-17-RQ-0252 - QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS – TUNABLE OPO AND PUMP LASER SYSTEM

Solicitation Item: Specification #15 - The OPO shall have an emission linewidth less than or equal to 7 cm-1

Question: Is a smooth temporal profile out of the OPO required and lower than 7 cm-1 required?

Answer: Our specifications indicate an OPO emission linewidth less than or equal to 7cm-1, so certainly lower than this value works

Solicitation Item: Specification #18 – “The system shall provide access to the pump fundamental at 1064 nm, the second harmonic at 532 nm and the third harmonic at 355 nm.

Question: Does NRL want this at the same time as the OPO output? Do you require residual beam access or access to actual output of the pump laser before it enters the tunable laser?

Answer: Yes, we would like the residual pump access and simultaneously to be used with the

OPO.

Solicitation Item: Specification #22 - The complete system shall have a real-time wavelength measurement system and closed loop tuning capabilities.

Question: Does NRL want a spectrometer set up with the OPO? Can NRL clarify the closed loop tuning?

Answer: We require a wavemeter where we can monitor the wavelength real time. The idea is to be able to control the laser externally and is important if we want to lock the laser to something.
