DESCRIPTION/SPECIFICATIONS/WORK STATEMENT

Section C
BACKGROUND
I. Background The National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST) Administrative Services Division (ASD) operates a storeroom on its Gaithersburg, MD campus. The storeroom provides a convenient, just-in-time supply of frequently used items for the NIST community. The items are categorized by commodities.
One of these commodities is electrical supplies. The NIST storeroom requires a supplier of electrical supplies, who can deliver on an as-needed basis. NIST intend to award a single Requirements Contract. The contract will be for a one (1) year base period and four (4) one year option periods.
II. Objectives The objective is to have electrical supplies available to NIST customers when they need them. To meet this objective, NIST requires a vendor who can supply the various and numerous electrical supplies stocked in the NIST storeroom.
III. Scope
The list of electrical supplies currently stocked in the NIST storeroom is attached in Section J. This list changes as the needs of the NIST community changes. This Requirement Contract is for electrical supplies.
