About this file
This is a Statement of Work for a sole source procurement by NASA Langley Research Center for a Kruss Dynamic Surface Analyzer system and related services.
NASA LaRC requires a complete DSA100 Expert Drop Shape Analyzer system consisting of one primary instrument unit with high-resolution camera (CF04 with 1920 x 1200 px resolution and 2300 fps frame rate), optical system with 7x manual zoom (CM3200), prism for samples up to 300 mm diameter (CM3 250), software-controlled dosing hub (NM3220) with one pressure dosing unit and two syringe dosing units, heavy-duty z-axis drive (PS3250) capable of supporting samples up to 10 kg, two positioning axes (PS3260) with 100 mm travel distance, standard sample stage (ST3200), high-power LED illumination (IL3220), standard frame (FM3200) with sample space of 320 x ∞ x 275 mm, and power supply (EM11). The procurement also includes three required software modules: AD3221 for contact angle measurement, AD3223 for surface and interfacial tension analysis, and AD62 for surface free energy calculation. Additionally, a desktop control module (COMPDESK) with Windows 11 Pro, 16GB memory, 256GB SSD, and 22" HD monitor is required, pre-installed with KRUSS ADVANCE software. One standard onsite installation and training service (IAT-ONSITE A) is included, typically requiring four to eight hours and covering instrument operation, hardware/software setup, data management, sample preparation, and analysis interpretation. The system operates between +10°C and +40°C and includes a 2-year warranty through the PC manufacturer.
The place of performance is NASA LaRC, 8 West Taylor Street, MS 188A, Hampton, VA 23681. The period of performance is 30 days after receipt of order, with a required delivery date of December 1, 2026. A key deliverable is submission of software entitlement information using the SLAM – NASA Entitlement Reporting Form within 5 business days of the purchase order, to be sent to the contracting officer/representative and Agency-Software-Entitlements@mail.nasa.gov.
