About this file

This is a Statement of Work for NASA's modernization of the NASA Integrated Operations Center (NIOC) to enhance enterprise-level capabilities for network and security operations.

The contractor shall develop a scalable, secure, and efficient architecture supporting mission-critical operations aligned with NASA OCIO's modernization goals. The work encompasses 420 hours across five tasks: (1) Current-State Assessment for Workplace & Collaboration Services; (2) Current-State Assessment for Cloud & Computing Services; (3) Current-State Assessment for Application & Platform Services; (4) Development of Future-State Integrated NIOC Architecture and Modernization Roadmap; and (5) Phase 1 Initial Implementation, Demonstration, and Final Report. Tasks 1-3 require assessment of current operations, infrastructure, tooling, workflows, and visibility to identify gaps inhibiting coordinated operations and timely response, with deliverables being current-state assessment summaries including gap analyses and prioritized findings. Task 4 requires development of a modern integrated NIOC architecture and modernization roadmap addressing integrated tooling, monitoring enhancements, predictive/behavioral analytics, automation, scalability, and lessons learned. Task 5 requires leading implementation efforts for initial modernization capabilities, introducing automation for routine tasks and alerts, deploying or enhancing monitoring and analytics, preparing and executing a demonstration, defining expansion approaches, and providing a final report and briefing. All task due dates are to be determined. The period of performance is April 15, 2026 through April 14, 2027. Work shall be performed onsite at Marshall Space Flight Center, Huntsville, Alabama, with some travel required. NASA will furnish current state policies, procedures, drawings, diagrams, facility access, personnel access, and Government Furnished Equipment as necessary.
