About this file
This Statement of Work describes NASA GSFC Code 675's requirement to purchase a Manncorp MC385V1V Mid-Volume Pick & Place system with associated feeders and accessories to restore in-house automated printed circuit board assembly capability for prototype, engineering, and flight applications. The contractor must provide delivery, installation, setup, functional verification, and operator training. The complete system includes one MC385V1V machine, one FR32K 32-port feeder base, two cut strip holders for 8mm lanes, two 8mm tape feeders with small windows for 0201/0402 components, fifteen standard 8mm tape feeders, four 12mm tape feeders, and one universal IC/tube feeder with 10 lanes. The system shall include standard vision alignment with COGNEX on-the-fly camera, fiducial recognition, CAD conversion software, component library, feeder optimization tools, Windows-based control software, computer controller with LCD display, keyboard, mouse, and network adapter, and remote service support software.
The contractor shall perform all installation and configuration during a single site visit at Goddard Space Flight Center, including positioning, leveling, calibration, feeder installation, software configuration, and successful component placement demonstration. On-site training shall be provided to Chris Pirner covering machine operation, PCB programming/CAD import, component library creation, feeder setup, vision/fiducial setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and normal operation. The period of performance is 15 weeks as required (ARO), with completion required by November 18, 2026. Successful functional checkout and component placement demonstration shall verify installation completion; a separate formal Site Acceptance Test is not required. NASA shall provide the required compressed-air supply prior to installation, and remote service access is not required.

STATEMENT OF WORK
1. Objective/Requirements
NASA GSFC, Code 675 Electric Field Laboratory, requires the purchase of a Manncorp MC385V1V Mid-Volume Pick & Place system to reestablish lost in-house automated component-placement capability for prototype, engineering, and flight printed circuit board assemblies.
The contractor shall provide the complete system, associated feeders and accessories, delivery, installation, setup, functional verification, and operator training. This capability will improve placement accuracy and repeatability, reduce manual assembly time, increase throughput, improve assembly consistency, and restore an in-house automated PCB assembly capability for current and future Code 675 hardware.
