About this file
This is a Statement of Work for the repair of NASA-GSFC's high purity air compressor system, which is critical infrastructure supporting semiconductor fabrication and testing in the Code 553 Detector Development Lab. The system produces semiconductor detectors for NASA missions including ATHENA, HWO, and SLS.
The vendor must provide parts and labor to repair an Air Compressor and Dryer System (model KNW00-B/H, s/n 16L6116663) and a G/D air dryer (model DGH90, s/n 1000003079515) back to full functionality. Specific repair work includes disassembling and removing both 1st and 2nd stage air ends, swapping pinion gears to new air ends, installing new after coolers, inter coolers, and oil coolers, providing and installing an annual preventative maintenance kit, rebuilding the CCV valve, draining and replacing oil with new ISO VG 68, testing alarms and shutdowns, replacing filter elements and muffler cores for the dryer, and verifying proper operation. All parts must be shipped directly to GSFC. The vendor must provide a factory-trained, certified engineer for each visit who is either a U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident; if a foreign national must conduct the work, the vendor must provide names and documentation 30 days in advance. Performance of work is at Building 11, Goddard Space Flight Center, with a period of performance of one year from the date of award.

STATEMENT OF WORK
1. Objective/Requirements NASA-GSFC owns and operates a high purity air compressor . This is critical infrastructure equipment that provides multiple semiconductor fabrication and testing labs with high purity compressed dry air, used in fabrication of silicon devices that are processed in the Code 553 Detector Development Lab. The system requires large scale repair due to a failure of cooling lines and internal contamination. This systems is an integral part of the Detector Development Laboratory, which produces semiconductor detectors for various NASA missions, such as ATHENA, HWO, SLS and others. The equipment is critical for the production of semiconductor/MEMS devices and is essential to keep these systems operational, and avoid unplanned breakdowns and down time. Repair of this system back to regular operation is the main objective of this requirement.
2. Characteristics, Scope, and Specs Provide parts and labor for repair of an Air Compressor and Dryer System, model KNW00- B/H, s/n 16L6116663 and G/D air dryer model DGH90 s/n 1000003079515, back to full functionality.
