About this file
This is a Statement of Work for NASA Glenn Research Center's Structural Dynamics Lab (SDL) Amplifier Switcher Replacement project. The contractor must design, manufacture, and deliver a new 3 x 3 Amplifier Switcher System to replace a failed unit. The system shall be compatible with existing lab infrastructure including power, environmental conditions, and physical space; interface with existing amplifiers, electrodynamic shakers, and cooling systems; accommodate future replacement of the MB Dynamics C60 electrodynamic shaker; operate remotely from the SDL control room's control panel; and comply with NFPA 70 National Electric Code (NEC). The contractor must submit the new Amplifier Switcher System design and commissioning test plan to NASA for review and approval at least 4 weeks prior to fabrication. All work must be completed within 26 weeks after receipt of an approved contract (Purchase Order).
The contractor shall remove and replace the existing amplifier switcher system with the new equipment and remote control panels, then reconnect existing amplifiers and shakers and commission the new system in accordance with the approved test plan. All work at NASA Glenn must occur during SDL normal business hours (7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday), and all contractor personnel requiring facility access must be U.S. Citizens or Lawful Permanent Residents. On-site work must comply with 29CFR1910 (OSHA) and NASA Glenn's Safety and Occupational Health Program Manuals; on-site assembly work requires submission of a Health and Safety Plan (HASP). Deliverables include all documentation associated with the new Amplifier Switcher System (Operating Manual, Wiring Diagrams, Maintenance Plan, etc.) and documentation of successful commissioning.
