About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) dated July 22, 2026, authored by Jared Lucey, for engineering support and fabrication of 777 airborne instrument enclosures.

NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center seeks engineering and manufacturing support for previously developed microwave instrument enclosures to be installed on a NASA Boeing 777 aircraft for airborne science missions. The three instruments requiring enclosures are the Microwave Barometric Radar and Sounder (MBARS), the Configurable Scanning Submillimeter-wave Instrument/Radiometer (CoSSIR), and the Conical Scanning Millimeter-wave Imaging Radiometer (CoSMIR). The performance period runs from task award through 12 weeks after award. Three primary deliverables are specified: (1) MBARS mechanical enclosure per Drawing 26002-2002-001, fully assembled, inspected, and pressure tested to 12 psi, including custom parts documentation and certificates of conformance for parts, materials, surface finishes, helicoils, and fasteners; (2) CoSSIR mechanical enclosure per Drawing 26002-2010-001, with identical assembly, testing, and documentation requirements; and (3) CoSMIR mechanical enclosure per Drawing 26002-2011-001, meeting the same specifications. The SOW includes technical drawings showing detailed dimensions, cross-sections, and isometric views of each cylindrical and rectangular enclosure design, along with component assembly configurations and pressure testing requirements.
