About this file

This document contains technical specifications for a channel emulator operating at a center frequency of 1125 MHz with a 600 MHz 1dB RF bandwidth. The device supports up to 4 independent channels with RF input and output power at 0 dBm. Key performance parameters include in-band spurious suppression of -55 dBc or better, a noise floor of -140 dBm/Hz, amplitude ripple less than 1.5 dB peak-to-peak, and group delay under 8 nanoseconds peak-to-peak, with VSWR better than 1.5:1.

The emulator provides adjustable delay ranging from 7 microseconds to 700 milliseconds with 0.1 picosecond resolution, frequency offset capability of ±6.0 MHz with 0.01 Hz resolution, and attenuation range of 0 to 70 dB with 0.10 dB resolution. Additional capabilities include phase offset from 0 to 359.9 degrees, additive white Gaussian noise with crest factor greater than 16 dB and spectral density flatness less than 0.1 dB peak-to-peak, and Eb/No ratio resolution of 0.01 dB with ±0.2 rate accuracy. The device supports multipath fading with up to 12 paths, dynamic profile updates at 1-second intervals affecting Doppler, delay, angle of arrival, and attenuation, and various distribution types including CW, Rayleigh, and Rician. Dynamic mode parameters including delay, frequency offset, attenuation, AWGN, phase, multipath, and RF frequency can be updated at rates ranging from 1 to 1000 milliseconds, with control and interface provided via front panel.
