Statement of Work

1.0 Background

The procurement covers specialized Nikkor Z-mount lenses required for camera systems supporting perimeter monitoring and lightning tower imaging at Launch Complex 39B.

These lenses are manufactured by the same vendor as the camera bodies currently in use, ensuring full compatibility with existing hardware and with custom software developed for automated optical controls. They will replace and augment current optics to meet updated spatial and temporal resolution needs identified during recent system assessments, including coverage improvements required for ongoing high-resolution camera deployments.

Approximately 34 lenses are expected to be needed, sourced from qualified vendors and compliant with NASA procurement and quality standards. The lenses will undergo functional testing upon receipt to confirm proper operation with the installed imaging systems and software, after which they will be integrated into Pad 39B’s perimeter and lightning tower monitoring infrastructure to support enhanced operational imagery and engineering analysis capabilities.
