About this file

This document is a technical specification and machining requirement for a federal contract opportunity with NASA Glenn Research Center.

NASA will provide 250 tensile additive manufacturing (AM) blanks of GRX-810 material to be machined according to the specified engineering drawing and requirements. The part, designated CREEP_2.5IN, requires precision machining including tapered sections, chamfered edges, center drilling with specific depth tolerances, and grinding of the gage section using a grinding wheel at slow speed with coolant. All dimensions are specified in inches with tight tolerances noted on the drawing, including blend radius requirements and undercut specifications. The contractor must fit the finished parts to government-supplied couplings with nominal 1/28 thread specifications at each end. Delivery of all 250 machined parts must be completed within 12 weeks or less, with delivery to NASA Glenn Research Center, 21000 Brookpark Road, M.S. 49-7, Cleveland, OH 44135.
