About this file

This is a Statement of Work template for NASA Langley Research Center detailing the procurement of modernized plasma gun components to upgrade an existing Tekna vacuum plasma spray system used for advanced materials research and coating applications. The procurement addresses the need for OEM-compatible replacement parts and custom components that integrate with existing Tekna infrastructure while supporting NASA's materials research under the STMD Dust Mitigation and Environmental Material Solutions (DMEMS) effort.

The contractor shall manufacture and supply specialized plasma gun components including a custom after-sale service torch model PN070-B7-DC-BB, three thick-ended ceramic tubes (PN070-12H), three quartz tubes with shoulder and 55 mm I.D. (PS070-11A), one sheathed probe (SG792-260A0, 260 mm length), and one custom supersonic nozzle for the PN070 plasma torch model. Accessory components required include a brass anti-arc ring (PS070-10C2), two EMI shield female contact rings (Series 192 Fingers, 12" long), and one SL-70 O-ring (073 mm). The contractor must provide component certifications and material documentation, ensure all components meet Tekna specifications for integration into NASA's vacuum plasma spray system, and furnish installation guidance and compatibility verification. Technical documentation deliverables include component specifications, material certifications, and installation and compatibility documentation with Tekna OEM guidance. Delivery timeline will be determined upon receipt of NASA's purchase order. No milestones, government-furnished property, or specific response/award dates are identified in this template document.
