About this file
This is a Statement of Work for the purchase of an FMP2/2X pyrometer for NASA Langley Research Center's Hypersonic Materials Environmental Test System (HYMETS) facility.
The procurement requires one SpectroPyrometer Model FMP2/2X, a multi-wavelength expert system pyrometer with dual temperature measurement ranges of 800-2400°C and 1500-4000°C (1472-2552°F and 2552-7232°F). The pyrometer must feature 0.1°C resolution with continuous or operator-demand measurement capability, online tolerance and signal strength monitoring, spectral and total emissivity correction, absorption compensation, and an integrated laser for aiming. The unit shall include an integrated Windows PC, 0-10 VDC analog temperature output, non-volatile memory for data logging and raw data storage, and on-screen display and file storage of spectral emissivity data. Thirty days of data analysis support following purchase is included. Additionally, the contract requires one 10-meter bifurcated fiberoptic cable with illumination leg for concurrent aiming and measurement, one fixed-focus lens assembly with selectable focal length between 16 inches and 20 feet (default 28 inches), and one spectral emissivity on-screen display capability. The place of performance is NASA Langley Research Center at 8 West Taylor Street, MS 190, Hampton, Virginia 23681. The period of performance is 18-26 weeks as requested.

STATEMENT OF WORK
1. Objective/Requirements NASA Langley Research Center (LARC) Hypersonic Materials Environmental Test System (HYMETS) has a requirement to purchase an additional FMP2/2X pyrometer for the HYMETS facility to complement the existing FMPI pyrometer.
2. Characteristics, Scope, and Specs The scope of this statement of work covers the objectives, work description, and deliverables necessary for the purchase of the FMP2/2X pyrometer for the HYMETS facility.
Description QTY SpectroPyrometer: expert system multi-wavelength pyrometer with on-line tolerance and signal strength (emissivity), spectral and total emissivity correction, absorption (offgas) compensation, and integrated laser for aiming. Resolution is 0.1°C. Measurement is either continuous or on operator demand. Analog temperature output specified is 0 – 10 VDC. Results are printed to screen and to log in non-volatile memory.
Raw data can be saved to non-volatile memory for later analysis if required. Unit includes integrated Windows PC. Data analysis for first 30 days after purchase is included.
